• What is Hijama?

  Hijama, also known as wet cupping, involves applying suction cups to selected areas followed by small, superficial skin incisions. Every session begins with a private health consultation to confirm whether the treatment is appropriate for you.

• Does Hijama hurt?

  You may feel pressure from the cups and brief discomfort during the superficial incisions. Sensitivity varies from person to person, and you can ask to pause or stop the treatment at any time.

• Is Hijama safe?

  Every booking includes a health screening and informed consent. We follow strict hygiene procedures and use sterile, single-use equipment. Possible effects include temporary marks, bruising, soreness, bleeding, dizziness, infection or skin changes, which will be discussed before treatment.

• How should I prepare for my appointment?

  Please stay hydrated, have a light meal beforehand and provide accurate details about your health, allergies and medication. Do not stop prescribed medication unless advised by your doctor. Contact us before booking if you are pregnant, take blood-thinning medication, have a bleeding disorder, anaemia, an active skin infection or feel unwell.

• Do you offer home visits?

  Yes. Med Sphere Clinic offers clinic appointments and home visits across Huddersfield and surrounding areas. Travel charges are calculated according to distance and shown before confirmation.

• How long do cupping marks last?

  Cupping commonly leaves temporary circular marks that gradually fade. The colour and duration vary according to your skin and the treatment used. Please contact us if you experience increasing pain, spreading redness, swelling, discharge or feel unwell after treatment.

• What happens during my first appointment?

  Your appointment begins with a private health consultation and safety screening. We discuss your goals, relevant medical history and medication before agreeing on suitable treatment areas. You can ask questions or withdraw your consent at any time.

• How long does a session take?

  Please allow approximately 60 minutes for a complete session. This includes your health check, consultation, preparation, treatment and personalised aftercare advice.

• What should I do after Hijama?

  Follow the personalised aftercare advice provided, keep the treated areas clean, stay hydrated and take things gently if you feel tired or light-headed. Seek medical advice if you develop signs of infection, significant bleeding or any concerning symptoms.

• What is your cancellation policy

  Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled time. Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in the deposit being retained.
