Where these dates come from
A lunar month begins after the crescent is sighted on the evening of the 29th: if it is seen, the next day is the 1st; if not, the month lasts 30 days. These dates are therefore not calculated in advance: they are published here as soon as the start of the month is announced in France, at least two weeks before the 17th. If your mosque follows a different announcement, for example in the United Kingdom, a date may move by one day.
What the texts say
The two strongest narrations about hijama, in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, establish its merit without mentioning any particular day.
The 17th, 19th and 21st come from a narration reported by Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, accepted by some hadith scholars and considered weak by others. Choosing these days is not a mistake, and having your session on another day is not a mistake either.
Narrations about weekdays are considered weak by a large share of hadith specialists. This calendar therefore does not mark any weekday as recommended or forbidden.

What are the sunnah days for hijama?
A narration reported by Abu Dawud (no. 3861) and at-Tirmidhi (no. 2051) mentions the 17th, 19th and 21st of the lunar month. Some hadith scholars accept it as sound enough to act upon, while others consider it weak.
Can hijama be done on other days?
Yes. The two strongest narrations about hijama, in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, establish its merit without mentioning any particular day. Choosing the 17th, 19th or 21st follows a narration defended by scholars and is not a mistake; having your session on another day is not a mistake either.
Should certain weekdays, such as Wednesday, be avoided?
Narrations recommending some weekdays or warning against others, notably Wednesday and Saturday, are reported by Ibn Majah and in other collections. A large share of hadith specialists consider them weak, and some are classed as fabricated. This is why this calendar does not mark any weekday as recommended or forbidden.
Can hijama be done on the 17th, 19th or 21st of Ramadan?
These days fall during the fast, and scholars differ on hijama while fasting: the Hanbali school holds that it breaks the fast, while most other schools hold that it does not. Ask a person of knowledge before booking a session on those days, or have it after breaking your fast.
